Can't Wait until October!!!
This winter has not been the greatest for the our little family with both Jackson and I being sick and both having surgery. Then Alex is having some problems with his ankle and is seeing a specialist next month at Primary Children's to see what is going on with it. In the middle of all of this, Rod and Julie, Jackson's parents, asked us to go to Disneyland with them. Hooray!! We have been talking about taking the boys for a while now but didn't see how we could afford all of the expenses that come with the trip by ourselves (especially after this year). Now that they have offered to help with some of the expenses, we are able to go in October. I can not wait!!! I love Disney and I can't wait to see my boys reaction to this amazing magical place. Thanks Rod and Julie. We desperatly need and wanted a vacation and with your help we are going!!!! October can't get here fast enough. California here we come!

All Alex
Alex is 6
It is so hard to believe that Alex is now 6 years old. The day he was born was one of the best days of my life! I will always be grateful for the chance that I have to raise and feel so blessed to call myself his mother. I have always know that he is a very special son of our Father Heaven. I felt it when I was pregnant with him and I can see it all of the time now. He amazes me constantly with how smart he is and how incredibly kind he is. I couldn't ask for a better son and Ben is very lucky to have such a great big brother.

Random Pix of Ben
These are just some random pictures of Ben from the last 5 months. He is such a funny energetic little boy. He adores his brother and is very affectionate (which Mom loves). He is talking all the time and learning new words every day.
These new words are:
Elmo
Alex
Mom
Dad
Amen
No
Grandma
Boosh (for his blanket, which is with him all the time)
Ouch
Uh-oh
Out
Thanks P
lease Show (he uses this alot, even when there is no TV. Not quite sure why)
There are probably alot more but these are the most commonly used ones.

Just cute of Ben and his Dad.

9 Years Together
On January 11th we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. In some ways it is hard to believe that we have been married that long and in other ways it feels like we have been together for so long now. I can't imagine myself with anyone else. Jackson is such a great husband and father. I feel so blessed to have him in my life. Some days I ask myself how I got so lucky to be so blessed. I just pray that as time goes on will continue to always put each other first and grow closer together as time goes on. Thanks for the great 9 years hun. Here is to the rest of eternity. I love you Jackson.

Us on our way to dinner.
Belated Christmas
These are our some of our photos from Christmas. This year Jackson got really sick with influenza and a really bad case of strep throat so their aren't very many of Christmas Day but I wanted to get the ones up that I have.

Alex and his gingerbread house. Every year we make these with Jackson family. It is always a fun time and the kids love it!

Mine and Jackson's house.

My Mom and Alex at Temple Square seeing the lights.

Alex and Me at Temple Square.

My boys in their Christmas pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa Lund. Aren't they cute?

Ben with his new wagon of blocks. He totally love it.

Alex with this new Poke'mon WII game. It has been a huge hit with the whole family and has really helped Alex with his reading.

Alex and Me and Gardner Village. It was really, really cold but I had to have a few pictures of their cute decorations.
It was a really crazy Christmas with all of Jackson's sickness (we were in the ER most of Christmas afternoon) but the boys really seemed to enjoy it. Hopefully next year we will all be healthy and able to enjoy it even more.

Very Late Halloween!!
Here are some pictures from Halloween last year. I know they are really late but I figure better late than never.
Here is Ben in his Elmo costume. This was Alex's costume when he was about 2 and I love that I could use again. He looked so adorable in it!

Alex wanted to be Ash Ketchum from Poke'mon so this is what we came up with . I think he looks pretty dang close to the real thing and he thought it was great!

Jackson and Ben at the Syracuse Pumpkin Walk.

Me and the boys at the Syracuse Pumpkin Walk. It was our first year going to it and we totally loved it! It's free and so much fun to see how creative people can be with their pumpkins. We will definitely go again next year.

Just another cute one of Ben in his costume. He was really hard to get a good a picture in it. He is in the stroller at Alex's school in this one.

Jackson and I going to a Harry Potter party at Jake and Michelle's house. For those of you who don't know Harry Potter, Jackson is Professor Snape from the books.

Alex going trick-or-treating with his friend Zack. It was really cold and rainy but they toughed it out with the Dads and got lots of candy.

Welcome Fall
I am so glad that the weather is starting to turn cooler. I just love the fall season! It has always been my favorite. The colors are all so vibrant and the air crisp. You get to wear your favorite pair of jeans again and a cozy sweater. It probably doesn't hurt that my birthday is also in the fall. We also have all of these fun holidays to look forward to. From now until the end of the year, there is so much excitement. What a great time to take your family for a walk and enjoy the new season.

Catching Up
This is his cousin Avery, my oldest sisters boy. My sister lives in Kentucky so we don't get to see her very much. Alex totally attached himself to Avery. Everywhere he went Alex had to follow. The best part was that Avery loves him too!!! They are great friend even though there is a big age difference. Their birthday's are only 1 day apart. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
We planted our first garden this year. It's really hard to see in this picture. I will have to take another picture of what it has grown into now. It is doing awesome!!
Me and my boys at Jackson's birthday party. We had a cookout in the mountains.
This a girl in Alex's preschool class that he totally loved. He had a major crush on her for most of the year. Aren't they cute?
This is Alex and his preschool teacher Miss Amber. She was awesome! Alex totally thrived in her class. How cute is he in his cape? His graduation was adorable!!! Now on to Kindergarten.
Ben's favorite thing to do is taking a bath. I just had to take a picture. He usually is splashing all over the place.
Jackson and I on the 4-wheelers.

This is Alex and Dad going 4-wheeling at the cabin. Alex totally loved it!

Alex just being funny. He is trying to look all cool in his sunglasses.
Ben first trip up to the cabin. I don't think he really cared where he was as long as Daddy was with him. He is such a Daddy's boy.

These pictures are in no particular order. I just wanted to get them on my blog before I forgot what we where doing. What a great time we are having watching these sweet boys grow up. They are such a delight to have around!

Ben's 1st Birthday
It's hard to believe that it's been a year since Ben was born. What a delightful little baby he has been. We had a whole weekend of birthday fun just for him, celebrating with all of the families. Most of it involved eating lots of delicious food which is perfect for him because that's his favorite thing to do. Here are just a few of the pictures from his special day.
This is Ben enjoying his cupcake with green frosting. I know it doesn't look like it but he really does like it. He is just intense when he eats.
